mountainside retreat
This great room had a lot of potential, but with an odd floor plan and lack of storage, it was hard for the clients to see. The clients loved Mid-Century furniture, so I used that as a jumping off point for the concept. The Mid-Century Rustic look lends itself well to the forest setting of the house, as well as the original style of the architecture. The main goal for this design was to add functionality while also keeping the space light and airy. I proposed custom shelving in the dining area to provide some much needed surface area for the client’s decor and books. In the living area, versatile furniture is ideal for large family gatherings. The finished design caters to the lifestyle of the clients, all while staying under budget.
“Morgan is such a pleasure to work with! She took time to understand what styles we liked, hand selected all the items, and gave us several beautiful design options to choose from, all while honoring our budget. Her hand-drawn sketches made it easy for us to visualize how nice our room could look. And the shopping list made ordering everything a breeze!”

This client wanted updated furniture and styling for her new cozy apartment living room. She wasn’t sure what her personal style was, but after getting to know her, I suggested a Post-modern Eclectic look. Post-modern brings in color and a youthful vibe perfect for this 27-year-old. And eclectic style lends a helpful hand in creating cohesion between her many books and quirky collections. I mixed various textures and colors to create eye-catching contrast, inviting any visitor to sit down and stay for a while.
“Working with Morgan was a breeze! She made it so easy for me to choose what I liked best for my space by giving me multiple options to choose from. Morgan helped me define my personal style and was able to deduce my preferences just by seeing my current space. She understood that I like eclectic decor and needed storage for my books and games. I always prioritize function over style, but Morgan was able to blend both in a way I’d never thought of before!”
seacliff bungalow
This outdated beachside home needed an update to increase functionality as well as aesthetics. I started with colors the clients were drawn to and took off from there. I wanted to acknowledge the home’s proximity to the coast, while also bringing in the warmth and colors of mid-century design. Together, the two styles create a refreshing juxtaposition, pulling this small two story together in a way that compliments the clients lifestyle.
“When we started to work with Morgan she methodically walked us through a process of first understanding what we wanted and then communicating that to her. She patiently figured out what we didn’t like and then moved to what we did like. She used what she learned to create a mood board that served as our guide as we made our finish decisions. We are so happy with how it turned out!”
